The Last Movie Mogul

BBC 2 - 60’ (2001)

The late legendary producer Dino De Laurentiis made some of the biggest, best and worst films in ciema history. This portrait takes in his colourful sixty year career from Fellini's La Strada and The Bible to Al Pacino in Serpico and the re-make of King Kong in the Seventies. We follow him at work in Hllowyood with Hannibal and returning to Italy to set up a new film.

"Entertaining and instructive' was the typical Victorian recommendation, and Victorian values are back in tonight's Omnibus on Dino De Laurentiis. For anyone interested in cinema... the producer makes an absorbing case study."
